The Direct Vision Standard or also known as DVS is a HGV safety permit which is required for goods vehicles with a gross weight of over 12 tonnes. The DVS safety permit is required before entering and operating in most of Greater London. Goods vehicles without the safety permit may be subject to a penalty charge notice ( PCN ).
